Churchville-Chili School District names new Director of Health, Physical Education and Athletics | News

The Churchville-Chili School District has a new director of Health, Physical Education and Athletics.

The Churchville-Chili Board of Education approved Michael Murray as the new athletic director during its meeting on Tuesday.

Murray comes to Churchville-Chili from the Mount Morris Central School District, where he is currently serving as athletic director.

Murray earned his Bachelor and Master degrees in physical education as well as his certification in educational administration from SUNY Brockport. He received his Certified Athletic Administrator certificate, which is coordinated by the NIAAA, in June, 2011.

Murray and his wife, Jean, live in Leicester with their son, Michael, who is a senior in high school. They also have two daughters, 25-year-old Nicole who lives in New York City and 23-year-old Gina Murray who lives in Rochester. Both girls are out of college and in their own careers. 

Murray will take over as Athletic Director on July 1.
