Gates Chili's Kori Bayne-Walker signs letter of intent to play Division I basketball | News

Gates Chili High School senior Kori Bayne-Walker signed her national letter of intent last Friday to play basketball for Stony Brook University.

She is the first girls' basketball player in 14 years at Gates Chili to receive a full Division I scholarship.

Bayne-Walker leads the school in assists for career, season and games and is a three-time All Greater Rochester Player. She is also fourth on the all time scoring list. As a sophomore, Kori helped lead the Lady Spartans to their first sectional title in the school's history for girls basketball. That same year, she helped lead the team to the state finals.
